have to say I am very impressed by this board. I used to discuss politics on Mauisun, but the responses I got were from large numbers of closed minded liberals who felt that if I didn't agree with them then I was a racist, a fascist, or an idiot. I started off on this board with a personal blog to constructively vent my personal trials and tribulations. Then I stumbled across this forum. I found myself pleasantly surprised to discover that not only were there conservatives on this boar...

Ok I feel the need to begin a discussion on social security. Why are democrats so against privatizing it? If the only reason is to maintain government control over that aspect of our lives then I continue to be for privatization. Heres my take: Right now Social Security is slowly, but inevitably, failing. In the third debate between Kerry and Bush this question was raised and Kerry's repsonse was that they would fix it now and then down the road when it became a problem again we woul...
FIrst off I'd like to make it clear that I am not a Republican. I am a conservative who voted Bush for president and Libertarian for everything else. I'd like to weigh in on why I feel Democrats lost, as well as to try to provide direction on how they can stop losing; which they need to do (stop losing that is). I have three reasons that I'd like to posit for all to consider. 1) Democrats no longer represent the people. Liberal idealogies are sound; equality for everyone, assistance fo...
Crystal moved out. Shannon got married. Getting a "B" at best in Spanish. Kids are heartbroken. I am now a dog owner. Feeling a little tired, a little depressed, a little frustrated, a little liberated, a little blah... Now that she's gone I can actually clean my house and get some schoolwork done. Thank heavens for small favors. I kinda miss her; I really wish I didn't. I hate missing her, thinking about her, dwelling on her, dealing with her. At least I don't have to babysit her anymore. Th...
Well, two days in a row have been good days. I could tell Crystal struggled all day long to keep her composure; and there were a couple of times that she snapped at me a little, but nothing even close to something that would have placed a black cloud over the day. She looked this morning like she was going to completely kirk out on the whole world; very shortly after she took her Lexapro. The doctor told her that she could take a Seroqual throughout the day if necessary, so she did. Within an...
Well, it's happened. A good day. They don't happen often. I don't know how to contain myself, and I know it won't last, so I'm just basking in the glow for now. These are the days that make all of the others bearable. We started off the day having some quick sex.(I mentioned my upset demeanor about last night just like I said I wouldn't.) I didn't do it in a make-her-guilty way though, just kinda a hinting way. Then we went down to Hovey Lake today to view an archealogical dig site. It was pr...
I was so upset about Crystal earlier that I completely forgot to mention last nights events in regard to my youngest daughter (middle child). Her Name is Adeline and she's five, by the way. Anyway, we're in Wal-Mart browsing as occurs fairly regularly in this family; and she reaches out her hand to show us something . We notice that she has blisters all over her hands. Further investigation reveals these same blisters on her feet. I start to feel a little sick. We leave Wal-Mart and begin dri...
My ex-wife lives with me. I mentioned that in my previous post, but i did not mention her name. As this post is about her I'll do that now. Her name is Crystal. Crystal is the mother of my children, the woman I married twice, the woman I love and the woman who is going to completely drive me crazy. We were married for 6 1/2 years the first time and we treated each other like pure crap. I acted the way I did because I was young and an a@#hole; I thought she acted that way for the same reason. ...
Well, let's see. I guess I can begin by telling a little about myself so that anyone reading has a frame of reference to begin to understand what I'm typing. Born in Washington D.C., I now live in southwestern Indiana with my x-wife, three children, four cats, a micro-dog, a lizard, and probably more fleas than I'd care to admit. I've been married three times and divorced that many. I haven't heard from my first wife in about a decade, and my second two marriages were both to the same woman I...
